Shine Abrasives 1A1R resin bond diamond cutting wheels are thin cut-off wheels with a continuous diamond rim, designed for precision cutting of non-metallic and non-ferrous materials. The steel core is ground flat and tensioned before the diamond layer is pressed and cured, so the blade runs straight, cuts with a narrow kerf and keeps chipping at the cut edge under control.

Material matching

Diamond abrasive is used for non-metallic and non-ferrous materials: quartz, glass, LED sapphire wafers and packages, hard alloy (cemented carbide), ceramic, graphite and composite materials. Diamond does not react with these materials, so the wheel stays sharp and the cut face stays clean.

Key advantages

Continuous rim with fine D151 diamond grit gives a smooth cut and reduces edge chipping on brittle workpieces such as glass, quartz and ceramic.

Thin 1.2mm blade width keeps kerf loss low, which matters when cutting expensive quartz plates and sapphire or carbide parts.

Resin bond with a controlled wear rate keeps the diamond layer self-sharpening, so cutting force and feed rate stay stable from the first cut to the last cut in a continuous production run.

Cutting of quartz tubes and plates, glass sheets, LED sapphire and ceramic substrates, cemented carbide blanks and rods, ceramic tiles and advanced composite laminates.

Recommended working conditions

Wheel speed 30-40 m/s, feed 20-60mm/min on glass and quartz, coolant recommended for carbide and composite cutting. Use a rigid flange of at least 1/3 of the wheel diameter and never exceed the marked RPM.
