• Stock removal per pass
• Total stock removal
• Finish required
• Size of surface to be ground
• Main emphasis (cutting speed/form retention/overall life)
Material ground
• Solid carbide (grade/cobalt percentage)
• Carbide and other (% carbide/% other)
• Hardened steel (type/Rockwell “C” hardness)
• Other (ceramic, etc.)
Current wheel type
• Wheel shape
• Diameter
• Wheel width
• Abrasive depth
